MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is behind bars after Memphis police say she shot into a local Burger King after becoming irate about the wait time in the drive-thru.

The incident happened March 30 at a Burger King in the 5300 block of Winchester Road.

Two employees reported that a woman became angry about the wait time in the drive-thru window.

The woman allegedly got out of the front passenger seat of a sedan and approached the drive-thru window.

A verbal altercation ensued between the woman and two employees.

According to an affidavit, the argument escalated and the woman threatened to shoot the employees.

She then went back to her car to retrieve what employees believed to be a gun, and they fled to the back of the restaurant, the affidavit said.

Video surveillance shows the woman retrieve a black handgun from the car, lean through the drive-thru window and fire several shots at the employees.

Neither employee was hit by the bullets, according to the affidavit.

Police found shell casings in multiple locations throughout the restaurant.

On April 2, investigators received a tip identifying the suspect as Keona Jackson.

Jackson, 32, is charged with two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder and Employment of Firearm over Commission of a Felony.
