HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - It was a beautiful day for the Central Nebraska Track and Field Championships.
Athletes from across the area gathered at Northwest High School in Grand Island, to compete for gold medals and glory.
In the Girls 100m hurdles, Aizlynn Krafka showed off her speed, and her hops, to take home the gold medal for Northwest. It was an impressive performance for the freshman.
In the Girls 100m dash, Northwest’s Avyn Urbanski sped ahead of the pack to win gold, with a time of 12.8 seconds.
On the Boys side of the 100m, Grand Island Central Catholic’s Gage Steinke won his race with a time of 11.2 seconds.
The season isn’t over yet for the athletes, as State Track and Field is coming up in May.
