TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) -Toledo Fire and Rescue Department are investigating a fire that broke out at Glendale Garden Cafe Friday.
According to TFRD Battalion Chief Damon Williams, fire crews responded to a call of a possible fire around 7:50 p.m. Engine 21 arrived first and found smoke coming from the roof. Fire crews noticed that the windows had black soot and “were sweating,” indicating that the fire had been burning for a while.
Fire crews forcefully entered through the front door, and the fire was located in the kitchen. TFRD said the fire was very extensive in the kitchen, and crews were able to extinguish it within a matter of minutes.
No injuries were reported. TFRD continues to investigate the scene.
