STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A police investigation is underway after two attorney general agents and a local police officer were shot at in Stowe Township.

According to communications director with the attorney general’s office Jennifer Crandall, an attorney general agent and a McKees Rocks police officer were shot at while in their vehicle at around 2 p.m.
The officers returned fire and the suspects ran from the scene. A second attorney general agent, who responded to the initial shooting, was also shot at by the suspects as they ran.
There was police activity at Benwood Avenue and 9th Street, and at Benwood Avenue and Dorhman Street in Stowe Township. Our crew at the scene could see at least 45 evidence markers on the ground.
Sources confirm to Channel 11 that two attorney general cars were shot up. At least one of the AG cars that was shot up was in Stowe Township. We’re working to find out where the other one was hit.
Sources say that police found the suspected shooter’s car burned out in Mount Washington.
Police are also investigating along Linden Street in McKees Rocks and Tunnel Way in Stowe Township, but it’s unclear right now if these scenes are all related or not.
No officers were hit by gunfire, Crandall said.
Sto-Rox Junior-Senior High School was put on lockdown, but it has since been lifted.
Allegheny County police are also on scene investigating.
