PITTSBURGH — A local mother says not only was her daughter’s hair set on fire, but her scalp was irritated so badly that she had to take her to a hospital.
Latoya Copeland’s 13-year-old daughter goes to Westinghouse Academy in Homewood.
When her daughter got home on Monday, her clip-in extensions were singed and her natural hair was burned off. The worse part was her daughter’s scalp and skin, which were red and bruised from the irritation.
On Channel 11 News at 5:30 p.m., Copeland’s concerns with how the school handled the situation and what’s next in the investigation.
