A local woman has been sentenced following a drug bust at a Butler City home over a year ago.
A federal judge has sentenced 39-year-old Kristin Tate to time served (17 months) plus supervised release for three years.
In May of 2020 City Police and members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant for a home in the 300 block of Virginia Avenue—which is in the Island neighborhood of Butler.
Police found eight grams and 33 stamp bags of heroin. Officers also seized cartons of new and unused stamp bags, ecstasy, a digital scale, and two semi-automatic weapons with serial numbers erased.
That resulted in the arrest of Tate and another person who have been housed in the Butler County Prison since that time.
