Happy Sunday Husky Fans. I’m still stunned this morning from what I watched, and what happened yesterday. The update I have is really brief today mainly because there hasn’t been much going on in recruiting.At yesterday’s game there were some local recruits who took in the Husky loss to Montana.
4 star 2023 defensive lineman Jayden Wayne from Lincoln HS, WA was at Husky stadium to check out the team. Rated as the 36th best player by 247sports, Wayne has offers from Alabama, Oregon, USC, Georgia (and basically every major offer in the country). After yesterday’s performance the Huskies probably didn’t help themselves after losing to Montana. There is a long ways to go in his recruitment but the Huskies have their work cutout for themselves to land Wayne.
4 star 2024 cornerback Rayshawn Clark from Federal Way Hs, WA was also in town for yesterday’s game. Rated as the 69th best player in the 2024 class, Clark already holds offers from WSU, Utah and UW. The Huskies will definitely need to land the best in state players and Clark happens to be one of the best in the 2024 class.
2024 4 star running back Jason Brown was also on campus to check out the Montana game. Rated as the 23rd best prospect in the 2024 class Brown already holds offers from UW, USC, Oregon and Florida State. The Huskies would love to get Brown in the boat but there is a long ways to go for the 2024 prospect.
There were several prospects on campus but there probably wasn’t any good takeaways for prospects after yesterday’s performance. The Huskies will need to do some soul searching to get the team back on track and with the 50th best class in the country the Huskies will need to put in a ton of work to improve their recruiting rankings for the 2022 class.
