UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Women's Lacrosse's game vs. No. 3 Northwestern on Friday, March 5 has been selected to be broadcast on Big Ten Network. First draw is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET inside Ryan Fieldhouse.
The contest will be the first of a two-game series against the Wildcats. The second game will be played on Sunday, March 7 at 1 p.m. on Big Ten Network+.
The matchup against Northwestern features two of the top offenses in the country. Penn State ranks eighth in the nation, averaging 17.5 goals per game, while Northwestern sits third, averaging 19 goals per contest.
The Nittany Lions, led by Head Coach Missy Doherty, are 2-0 after wins over Rutgers (20-11) and No. 7 Maryland (15-13) to start the season.
Penn State is ranked No. 7 in the IWLCA Coaches Poll and No. 5 in the Inside Lacrosse Poll.
Olivia Dirks was named IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week after leading Penn State with five goals and an assist against the Terrapins. Taylor Suplee was selected IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week, making 14 saves in the win.
