Grand Forks head swimming & diving coach Brent Newman: “This morning was our final home dual of the season, and it caps off our last, hardest week of work in the training pool. We are exactly three weeks away from the final goal of our state competition and today was one of three final opportunities to put our training to the test. Many of the guys continue to maintain their competitive focus as they work through the physical and mental exhaustion they are experiencing. They are learning this week that they can swim better and faster even when tired. Today proved that to them as they had a quick turn-around from competition on Thursday and last night’s practice. Following today’s success, the guys have a final push to improve on their mechanics as we work to fine-tune things moving forward to finish off a season that we have been fortunate to work through.”

The KnightRiders’ next competition will be an away dual hosted by Fargo North on Friday, February 19.
