Grand Forks head coach Brent Newman: “Today was our final competition of our regular season. Due to the limits of how we could compete this season, this was only the second time since the beginning of December where we were able to swim against multiple teams and a variety of competition at once. We couldn’t be more proud of how they represented themselves and their teammates in side by side with some tough competition today. These guys have been really focused on improvement and many of the mechanics we have been pushing on them the past few weeks showed up today in competition. We were focused and had consistent performances throughout the long day with very few letdowns and plenty of learning opportunities. The guys got a solid return investment on the work they have put in through the year. The guys who have qualified for state are right where they need to be as we shift focus this week towards these final days to fine tune our skillset for the state competition.”
Note: Grand Forks will next compete at the N.D. state tournament at the Bismarck Aquatic Center on Saturday, March 6.
