GetThere Transportation to Employment is a referral program that works with county social services, along with workforce development, and other human services agencies.

Many individuals have limited or no finances at the beginning of a new employment position and may not be able to afford the initial costs of transportation back and forth to work.

The program works with each individual to put together a plan going forward to be able to independently get to their jobs on their own finances.

According to the News release each individual participant will receive $500 in transportation assistance, in the form of private rides, volunteer drivers, gas cards, and bus passes, as they build earnings from their wages to afford transportation.
