The Vanden High School football team will now host River City of West Sacramento on Friday in its second game of the season.
Franklin of Elk Grove, the scheduled opponent, can’t play due to COVID-19 reasons. River City was originally scheduled to face River Valley.
The Vikings (1-0) beat Yuba City 37-33 last week in their season opener.
Times on Friday are 5:30 for junior varsity and 7 p.m. for varsity.
