BRIDGEWATER, NJ - With times tough for local businesses and residents, one Bridgewater resident is using the new year to help inspire a hopeful turnaround.
Erich Radlmann, through the company Spherion, is compiling a live index of hyper-local jobs that he is broadcasting during a virtual event Jan. 27 as part of the “Let’s Go to Work Bridgewater Job Fair.”
The event, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is free for local residents searching for work, and they can take time to gain insight from Radlmann and experts on the job application process, hone their interviewing skills and advance their resume writing. Residents will also have the chance to speak directly with the local businesses that are hiring.
“Attendees who join virtually on the 27th will be able to learn more about the job openings in Bridgewater, and get advice from our staffing and recruiting professionals on how to strengthen their interviewing skills and improve their resume writing,” Radlmann said.
The fair is being done through Spherion and its more than 200 offices, including the Bridgewater office, and people can sign up via the registration at http://bit.ly/SpherionJobFair2021.
Currently, Radlmann said, they have 27 companies looking to fill jobs, including law firms looking for associate attorneys and paraprofessionals; medical device and biotech companies; pharmaceutical companies; commerce; manufacturing and logistics; building product companies; insurance agencies and underwriters; and virtual positions in customer service.
“The job fair ties into Spherion’s purpose-drive ideal, ‘Let’s Get to Work,’” he said. “The needs of today’s workforce are rapidly evolving, and we constantly strive to serve local job seekers and our clients with advanced resources and solutions to meet their employment and hiring needs.”
Radlmann said he hopes the local businesses participating will see a number of talented and hardworking applicants who are ready to work. For the job seekers themselves, he said, it’s a chance to gain insight from staffing and recruiting experts, and find opportunities.
“We know a lot of people have been displaced due to the pandemic, and we want to provide the best resources we can to support the community,” he said.
Radlmann said they regularly host job fairs throughout the year, and his company is always looking for opportunities to support the residents of Bridgewater.
The positions available at the job fair are mostly throughout Central New Jersey, at least commutable from Bridgewater, though some are in Bridgewater.
“It is open for Bridgewater and the surrounding area’s residents to attend,” he said.
