Grand Forks head coach Brent Newman: “Tonight was a really good night to finish off a tough week of practice. We have officially begun the back half of the season so our training intensity and focus really amped up a bit this week and will continue for the next several. Today was a good test for these guys both physically and mentally as they work to train both the mind and body to get better at this sport and in their events. We had a tough team to swim and dive against tonight with their depth, but our guys were able to compete and challenged for some of those top finishes in their heats and events. We are really proud of how they are coming together this season to push each other in the pool and support each other out of it. Their enthusiasm after a long hard week of training really showed up and we hope that will carry over moving forward as our competition schedule gets pretty busy for the next few weeks. We will see where it takes us!”
