JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is dead after arriving at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
According to JSO, at 1 a.m. on Sunday an adult male arrived at a local hospital in a private vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Within minutes of his arrival, the victim was pronounced dead
Police said the shooting happened in the 3600 block of Kirkpatrick Circle at the Willow Ridge Condos.
Detectives are interviewing potential witnesses, but do not currently have a suspect.
Also, around midnight JSO says a man and woman are both in a local hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting on Hawthorne Street. The man was found with a single gunshot wound to the chest and a woman had gunshot wounds to the stomach and leg.
AJ Jordan from Mad Dads said he wishes people would say something if they see a crime happen in this city.
“Every day, you know, like I say, you wake up, there’s a shooting, stabbing, a hit-and-run, you know, crime. And the common denominator in all these crimes is the suspects are still at large,” said AJ Jordan, an outread coordinator for Mad Dads Jacksonville. “We know people seeing things and we know when these criminals commit these crimes, they go somewhere, they don’t stay out in the streets, they go home and they lay their head down and take a shot at you know, they go back to what they do, which is committing crime. So we know that the community know what’s happening. friends, families, we know.”
