East Hartford, CT— This week, East Hartford Mayor Marcia Leclerc made numerous donations in support of local organizations on behalf of the Mayor’s Charity Ball. The organizations included Protectors of Animals, East Hartford Alumni Association, Believe 208, Interval House, EH CONNects, The RiseUp Group Inc. – East Hartford Mural #2, EH Summer Youth Festival, Friends of East Hartford Seniors and East Hartford Interfaith Ministries, to name a few.
“It was my honor to once again pledge financial support to local organizations whose work and mission contribute to a broad scope of services for our community,” said Mayor Marcia Leclerc. “These funds will allow these organizations to continue the important work to lift up and support every sector of community life.”
The Mayor’s Charity Ball is a biennial fundraising event that was created to bring people together to celebrate East Hartford and raise significant funds for local organizations. Originally scheduled for March 2020, due to COVID-19 the Mayor’s Ball was postponed and held this past October as the Mayor’s Last Blast. In addition to honoring our community, the event also celebrated East Hartford’s decade of progress throughout Mayor Leclerc’s tenure and her dedication to our town.
