SAINT PARIS — Graham Local Schools are mourning the loss of one of their middle school students.
Seventh-grader Ryley Savage died this week from injuries sustained in an incident on Tuesday, Superintendent Chad Lensman announced Thursday.
“This is a terrible tragedy for the Savage family members, our students, staff and the entire Graham Falcon family,” Lensman said.

Savage was an honor student and a goalie on the Graham Middle School soccer team.
He was remembered as a “intelligent young man” and a “friend who often found opportunities to support students who may have been struggling.”
“Ryley’s leadership, smile and drive will never be forgotten,” Bre Tebbe and Karla Garcia, Graham Elementary fourth grade teachers, said.
Graham Elementary Student Lighthouse Coordinator Sarah Hager said Savage was a “role model for our Falcon Community.”
While details about what happened have not been released, the district posted on social media Wednesday that a seventh-grade student suffered “a severe injury” outside of school.

Counselors and clergy, as well as the district’s Crisis Response Team, have been made available across the district this week to provide support to students and staff.
