This is a look ahead at the local government voting sessions the public may attend during the week of Aug. 1 to Aug. 5.
Monday, Aug. 1:
The Union City Commission will meet at 1843 Bristow Drive for a business meeting at 6:30 p.m.
On the agenda is a municipal order to condemn a property along Brilliance Avenue that will make way for a stormwater easement. Also on the agenda is the second reading of an ordinance allowing Arlinghaus LLC to rezone less than one acre of land along Hathaway Road.

Tuesday, Aug. 2:
Dayton City Council will meet on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Dayton Community and Meeting Center, located at 625 Second Ave., in Dayton. The agenda for this meeting and information from previous meetings can be found at daytonky.com.
The Covington Board of Commissioners will hold a caucus meeting, in which voting members will discuss agenda items in greater detail, on Aug. 2 at 6 p.m., at City Hall, which is located at 20 W. Pike St., in Covington. More information on this meeting and others is available at covingtonky.gov.
The city of Florence is scheduled to hold a caucus meeting, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Florence Government building, which is located at 8100 Ewing Boulevard, in Florence. Previous meeting agendas and minutes can be found at florence-ky.gov.
The City of Erlanger will hold a Special City Council Meeting on AUg. 2 in the Erlanger City Building at 505 Commonwealth Ave. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m. Information on previous and future meetings is available at erlangerky.gov.
At 7 p.m., the city of Walton is scheduled to meet, though an agenda has not yet been published for its meeting, according to the city website. Kentucky law requires local government to give at least a 24-hour notice to residents if they plan to have a meeting.
Wednesday, Aug. 3:
The Boone County Planning Commission is holding a public hearing in the Boone County Fiscal Courtroom. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and a public hearing for residents to speak up on proposed developments or zoning changes is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The agenda can be viewed at boonecountyky.org, under “Planning Commission” and “meeting details.”
The Covington Motor Vehicle Parking Authority Board was scheduled to meet on Wednesday, but the meeting has been canceled.
Thursday, Aug. 4:
The Human Rights Commission is planning to meet on Aug. 4 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Covington City Hall, 20 W. Pike St., in the commission chambers.
The Covington Economic Development Authority (CEDA) meeting originally set for Aug. 4 has been canceled.
