The Bellevue Avenue branch of the Montclair Public Library will reopen Thursday, Dec. 2, after an emergency two-and-half-week closure.
On Nov. 15, library officials announced that the Bellevue Library would be closed indefinitely due to no working heat in the building. The boiler apparently sustained water damage during Ida that went undetected until it was serviced for winter startup, Executive Director Peter Coyl said.
The library remained closed as the repair company waited for parts that were on backorder, Coyl said. Supply chain issues are causing delays in receiving the parts, he added.
The Bellevue branch is open Tuesdays 12 – 8 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
