CHICAGO — It’s no secret small businesses are struggling. People are out of work and unable to shop, and even those who still have jobs may not feel comfortable heading into a neighborhood store.
That’s why we thought it was extra important to highlight some of the local shops that make our city special. Our reporters reached out to dozens of small business owners across the city to see how they are holding up and get gift recommendations. Many are offering delivery, curbside pickup and even private shopping to keep you safe — and all offer uniquely Chicago items or experiences your loved ones will cherish.
We know this guide is not comprehensive, but we’re a small team. If you want your local shop to be featured, please fill out the Google form at the bottom of this page. We’ll gladly add it to our list.
