Network of Community Ministries, a nonprofit group, is hosting a mobile food pantry service with Richardson ISD over the summer.
The service kicks off Monday June 7 and runs through Thursday, Aug. 12, the district stated in an announcement.
The schedule is as follows:
- Mondays: Berkner High School STEM Academy, 1600 E Spring Valley Road, Richardson; noon to 1:30 p.m. There is no service on Monday, July 5.
- Tuesdays: 7:30-9 a.m. at RISD Academy, 13630 Coit Road, Dallas; and later in the day at White Rock Elementary, 9229 Chiswell Road, Dallas; 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays: Richland Elementary, 550 Park Bend Drive, Richardson; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Thursdays: Big Springs Elementary, 3301 W Campbell Road, Garland, from 7:30-9 a.m.; and at Prestonwood Elementary, 6525 La Cosa Drive, Dallas; from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Over the summer, the nonprofit will be evaluating where to place the mobile pantry at Richardson ISD for the 2021-22 school year.
The Network of Community Ministries will also drop off boxes of food at any Richardson ISD location for emergencies.
