LEWISTON - While COVID-19 has caused many events over the spring and summer months to be canceled or postponed, there are still many safe, local events being planned for Halloween 2020 in the Lewis-Clark Valley and surrounding areas.
Below is a list of local Halloween events taking place in 2020:
5th Annual LC Valley Habitat For Humanity Pumpkin Patch (Clarkston)
The 5th Annual LC Valley Pumpkin Patch is taking place from October 12 to October 31 from 10:00am to 6:00pm daily. The patch features over 2,000 pumpkins and gourds of all sizes. There will also be youth activities, games and photo opportunities.
This event is the signature fundraising event for the LC Valley Habitat for Humanity. Proceeds from the event will support your local habitat.
The Pumpkin Patch is located on the lawn of the Clarkston United Methodist Church, located at 1242 Highland Avenue in Clarkston.
Trick-or-Treat Golf Cart Parade (Lewiston)
The Lewiston Golf and Country Club will host their 1st Annual Golf Cart Trick-or-Treat parade on Saturday, October 31 from 2:00 - 4:00pm. Activities will start at the club house at 2:00pm and the parade will begin at 3:30pm.
If you are interested in dressing up a cart for the parade, please call 208-746-2801. Club membership is not required. The Lewiston Golf and Country Club is located at 3985 Country Club Dr.
Scare Grounds Haunted Hayride (Lewiston)
The Scare Grounds Haunted Hayride will take place on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. Hours for Friday are 5:00pm - 10:30pm and hours for Saturday are 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 5:00pm - 10:30pm. Recommended age is 8 and older.
Village Centre Cinemas Drive Thru Trick-or-Treating (Lewiston)
Village Centre Cinemas is having a drive thru Trick-or-Treating for your kids. On Saturday, October 31, between 5:00pm - 6:30pm, drive right up to the front of VCC and staff members will be in costumes handing out goodie bags.
Nez Perce Eagles Lodge #631 Trunk-or-Treat (Lewiston)
On Saturday, October 24, the Nez Perce Eagles Lodge #631 will host their annual Trunk-or-Treat event, from 3:00pm - 5:00pm.
CDC Guidelines will be practiced for this event. The Nez Perce Eagles is located at 1304 Main Street in Lewiston.
Advanced Health Care of Lewiston Trick-or-Treat Event (Lewiston)
Advanced Health Care of Lewiston will host their 2nd Annual Trick-or-Treat event on Saturday, October 31, with a social distancing twist! This year, events will take place outdoors.
To help patients engage in the activities, children will approach the patients window from the outside, show off their scariest (or cutest) costumes, and grab some candy from the bowl. Masks are required for all participants.
Events will begin at 3:00pm and conclude at 5:00pm. Advanced Health Care of Lewiston is located at 2852 Juniper Drive.
Hillside Harvest Festival (Lewiston)
Come on down as the Hillside Church in Lewiston hosts the 'Hillside Harvest Festival' on Saturday, October 31 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
There will be a Trunk-or-Treat, games and tons of family fun. Costumes are not required but encouraged! This is an open invite event to anyone in the community.
Hillside Church is located at 1519 Ripon Avenue in Lewiston.
Idaho County 12th Annual Trunk-or-Treat (Grangeville, ID)
The 12th Annual Idaho County Trunk-or-Treat will take place on Saturday, October 31 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm in the back parking lot of the Idaho County Courthouse. This event is FREE to all Idaho County residents & visitors.
This event is brought to you by the Idaho County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with: The Grangeville City Police, Grangeville Fire Department, Syringa Hospital ambulance crew and the Lion's Club. The Lions Club will be on hand providing free hot dogs and drinks.
Those interested in making a candy donation or participating in the Trunk-or-Treat, please contact Mandee or Monica at 208-983-1100. The Idaho County Sheriff's Office is located at 320 W Main Street in Grangeville.
Wisehart Orchards Haunted House (Juliaetta, ID)
Wisehart Orchards in Juliaetta, ID is hosting their 1st Annual Haunted House coming up on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1 from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. Due to the scary nature of this event, you must be 13 or Older to attend. Tickets are $10.
Lines for this event will be outdoors and socially distanced. Entry will be staggered, to promote social distancing between groups. Live music will be on hand and Candy Apples will be for sale.
Guests are asked to please keep your distance while standing in line and are asked to please not touch the scare staff, and they will not touch you either.
Those wishing to attend are told to “just follow the screams!” The orchards are right off State Highway 3 on the edge of Juliaetta. Those coming from Troy, Kendrick and Deary the Orchards are located just before the “Welcome to Juliaetta” sign on the right. Those coming from Lewiston will find the orchards just beyond the “Leaving Juliaetta” sign on the left.
Spring Valley Tree Farm Pumpkin Patch (Troy, ID)
The 5th Annual Spring Valley Tree Farm Pumpkin Patch is being held over two weekends this year, on October 17/18 and October 24/25 to help keep people socially distanced. The patch will be open from 9:00am - 4:00pm on Saturdays and noon - 4:00pm on Sundays.
The straw bale maze is back and twice as large as years past. Hayrides will be available every half an hour and facepainting is also available for the kids.
Keep your eyes peeled for a golden gourd, Find one and get a prize!
People entering the barn and giftshop are asked to wear masks. Hand sanitizer will be readily available at all activities.
The Spring Valley Family Tree Farm is located at 1039 Spring Valley Road in Troy, ID.
