Montclair's Dance in the Lawn wins Community Grant Award - Montclair Local

Montclair’s Dance in the Lawn was selected as one of the winners for the 2021-2022 Community Grant Awards from The Masterwork Music and Art Foundation, a nonprofit arts organization based in Morristown.

The top award, which is a $1,000 grant, was given to Dance in the Lawn, a free dance event that brings together diverse professional and emerging companies from New Jersey and New York with dance students from across New Jersey in a community setting that is open to the public.

Dance on the Lawn celebrates dance in New Jersey and aims to promote, support and develop the cultural landscape throughout the state.

Other winners are Sparklevision, an app being developed by Prospector Theater in Ridgefield, Connecticut to authentically represent people with disabilities in the arts and entertainment industry, and Current Showcases from Brooklyn, an interdisciplinary performance art showcase supporting the works of emerging artists in the field of dance, music and theater.
